The Rockies are taking on the New York Mets tonight for their makeup game from the snow out that occurred on April 17th. The Rockies are happy to be back at home as they had an awful road trip finishing it going 2-7 and being swept in both American league ballparks they went to. Michael Cuddyer kept the game close yesterday with his two home runs, but the Rockies still fell to the Red Sox 5-3.
Tyler Chatwood will be taking the mound tonight for the Rockies as they face off against the Mets. Chatwood on the year is 4-1 with a very good 2.22 ERA. He had a good start in his last start against the Nationals as he went six innings allowing four hits, one run, two walks and struck out four hitters. He took a no decision in the game however as the Rockies offense struggled to get anything going against his counterpart Stephen Strasburg. Chatwood is 2-0 at home this year with a 3.57 ERA in four games started. The history is limited between Chatwood and the players on the Mets team but in 18 combined at bats the Mets hitters are batting .278 with one double and three strikeouts.
The Rockies offense will be trying to get back on track against Mets pitcher Jeremy Hefner. Hefner on the year is 2-6 with a 3.89 ERA. He got a win in his last start against the Phillies when he went six innings allowing 10 hits, three runs (two earned), one walk and struck out six. On the road this year he has posted a 2-3 record with a 4.83 ERA in seven starts. Only five players on the Rockies roster have faced Hefner and each of them only have one at bat against him. Dexter Fowler and Troy Tulowitzki each are 1-1 against him with a home run but neither of those two are in the lineup for tonight's game.

First pitch for the game tonight is at 4:10 PM Mountain time. Eric Young Jr. will be making his first return back to Coors Field to take on his former team. Look for him to get a big hand as he returns, and I am sure he will be trying to hurt his former employer and show them what they are missing.
