Rockies take on Yankees game 2

The Colorado Rockies will be taking on the New York Yankees in game two of the three game series tonight with first pitch at 6:10 PM Mountain time. The Rockies took game one 2-0 lead by a Carlos Gonzalez two run shot off of Hiroki Kuroda in the 6th inning. Josh Rutledge also added three hits in the winning effort and that was all that Jorge De La Rosa needed to take the victory. De La Rosa pitched six strong innings allowing just three hits and one walk and struck out two. The bullpen shut them down after that and Rafael Betancourt picked up his ninth save of the year.

Tonights game will see Juan Nicasio taking on David Phelps. Nicasio is looking to remain perfect on the year and pick up his fourth vicotry of the season. Phelps has had a rough start to the season and will be looking to turn it around against the potent Colorado offense. Troy Tulowitzki will be out of the lineup again as he is dealing with a slight strain of the groin. He had an MRI done and the results were very favorable and eased the minds of all of the people around the organization. He should be back in the lineup on Thursday for the series finale against the Yankees.
