Rockies Vs. Giants Game Two

The Colorado Rockies are taking on the San Francisco Giants in game two of the series tonight with first pitch at 6:40PM Mountain time. The Rockies dropped the opener 8-6 last night and after the third inning of the game the offense disappeared, which has been one of the main concerns over the past week. Tonight's match up pits two southpaws facing off in Madison Bumgarner for the Giants and Jorge De La Rosa for the Rockies. Bumgarner is 4-1 on the year with a 2.18 ERA while De La Rosa is 4-3 with a 2.98 ERA. De La Rosa has begun to regain some of the form that he had prior to having Tommy John surgery in 2011. That is a good sign for the Rockies and if he can maintain that level of consistency throughout the year then the Rockies have a very good chance to be in the race for the division crown at the end of the season.

DJ LeMahieu will make his first start of the 2013 season tonight after having a very impressive showing at the AAA level early on this year. LeMahieu got a pinch hit single last night and then stole second and advanced to third on an error. He is a dynamic player that has the ability to change the game both offensively and defensively, but the question will be if he can get enough at bats in the lineup to make a big impact. The only spot that he will have a shot to get extended playing time is at second base, but with Josh Rutledge starting to come around offensively, that is looking less likely.

The Giants starting lineup for tonight's game is as follows:
1. Angel Pagan, CF
2. Marco Scutaro, 2B
3. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
4. Buster Posey, C
5. Hunter Pence, RF
6. Brett Pill, 1B
7. Andres Torres, LF
8. Brandon Crawford, SS
9. Madison Bumgarner, P

The Rockies lineup for tonight's game is as follows:
1. Eric Young Jr, RF
2. Dexter Fowler, CF
3. Carlos Gonzalez, LF
4. Troy Tulowitzki, SS
5. Wilin Rosario, C
6. Nolan Arenado, 3B
7. DJ LeMahieu, 2B
8. Jordan Pacheco, 1B
9. Jorge De La Rosa, P
