Rockies Vs. Giants Game Three

The Colorado Rockies will look to remain flying high after last nights thrilling victory over the Giants. They battled all night and were able to slam the door shut when Rafael Betancourt struck out the side to put an exclamation point on a 10-9 victory. The Rockies had 11 hits on the night. Dexter Fowler, Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki, Wilin Rosario and Jordan Pacheco had two hits a piece. The biggest hit of course was when Jordan Pacheco took Madison Bumgarner deep to left for a grand slam in the fifth inning. It was a no doubter and it fired up both the fans and the Rockies players for the rest of the game. It was a statement hit for Pacheco who has seen limited playing time this season even though he was one of the most consistent Rockies last year and finished the season hitting well over .300. He belongs on the field and last night he made a case for it.

Tonight the Rockies will be facing two time Cy Young award winner Tim Lincecum, affectionately nicknamed "The Freak", who is still trying to regain that elite form. On the year Lincecum is 3-2 with a 4.07 ERA. The Rockies will counter with Tyler Chatwood who is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA. Chatwood has made two starts on the year and his last start against the Dodgers on April 29th was fantastic. In that start he went six innings allowing five hits, no runs, no walks and five strikeouts. He was also an offensive star in the game as he collected three hits and two RBI. He was sent down after that start and continued to pitch very well at the AAA level which warranted another call up when Jeff Francis needed to be placed on the disabled list. The Rockies will be looking to give The Freak an early exit from the game today.

The Giants lineup for the third game of the series is as follows:
1. Angel Pagan, CF
2. Marco Scutaro, 2B
3. Pablo Sandoval, 3B
4. Buster Posey, C
5. Hunter Pence, RF
